God identity
God has given us, all of us, the most valuable gift possible. Identity. But not just any identity, God identity. We are as God is.
This is hard to believe, impossible to believe even, and some might equate it with saying that we are God. I’m not trying to express it in that way. An analogy I use to describe our relationship with God is a tree. A tree has various branches which are extensions of the tree, individual and unique in themselves — but still part of the tree. Do we consider branches and then consider tree and think “different”? No, we call it a tree, and so it is. A tree sustains its branches, the branches cannot exist separately from the tree. Branches that are cut from the tree die. Branches are also made from the same substance, exactly, as the tree.
We are each branches on the tree of God. We are individual expressions but still the tree, the tree of God.
