Spiritual skepticism
I’m an advocate for spiritual life help. I consider it to be a valuable and effective help method and an exceptional asset overall. But I also recognize something about spiritual life help.
It’s difficult to believe.
For those who might be unfamiliar, spiritual life help expresses that problems and hardship are illusory. This point is quite difficult to believe but can be reconciled somewhat by a supporting point: God is the only power. If God is the only power, and is only good, then hardship has no source for being. Another spiritual life help point that is difficult to believe, even more difficult to believe perhaps than problems and hardship being illusory, is that we are each one with God and as God is. This is to say that what is true of God is also true of us.
The evidence certainly doesn’t support this.
Unless God is a material being that is needy and vulnerable and born to die then we are not as God is. And this ties into a principle of spiritual life help, that the appearances…
